MOFreePress is a Missouri-based independent journalism and civil rights auditing organization dedicated to transparency, accountability, and the protection of constitutional freedoms. We exist to serve the public by documenting government activity, investigating matters of public concern, and ensuring that officials respect the rights of the people they serve. Our work focuses on observation, documentation, and factual reporting, always conducted lawfully and nonviolently.

Through investigative journalism and civil rights auditing, we examine how public institutions operate in real-world conditions. We document interactions in public spaces, research policies and practices, and publish verifiable information the public can evaluate for itself.
